I offer coaching and consultation that helps people grow the organizations that make happy, healthy communities.
I am Brooke O’Byrne. I started this company much like most great organizations begin- in response to a need. At the time, I was employed full-time and working tirelessly to get our community’s first outpatient mental health center off the ground. As the center began to take off, I began receiving requests from peers across the state to support their agencies in developing programming and attaining funding.
In the beginning, I was flattered. However, things soon blossomed into a workload I could not maintain with a full-time career. I have since left my full-time role and have begun supporting agencies of all sizes to develop and institute the programs they have envisioned. The people that contact me are devoted to their programs and struggling with how to make their vision sustainable.
With experience serving everything from grassroots organizations to government agencies and an educational background in social work, education, and business administration, I am able to support those of you serving your communities through grant writing and program development to ensure your agency is grant ready.
I started my career in Social Work. I worked with a variety of non-profits and grassroots programs through the peak of the recession. During this time, I honed my skills to enhance resources during a time when resources were scarce. I went on to run a small non-profit shelter and I was later recruited by a judicial district to build out programming in support of justice reform initiatives. In this setting, I was given a platform that allowed me to found Northern Nevada’s premier outpatient mental health facility and more than double existing programming. Over the years I have proved to be effective, increasing funding for one agency over four years by 71%.
My passion is education, justice reform, and behavioral health. I have worked with grassroots programs, government agencies, and everything in between. I know the challenges of establishing and growing small agencies into community pillars.
I do this work because I am passionate about seeing vital community agencies thrive. It is my belief that the work of the agencies we all support creates strong communities, and strong communities will help our children, our neighbors, and ourselves thrive.
In my free time, you can find me with my husband and four pups exploring the mountains by foot, bike, or canoe.
